Welcome to Early Childhood Development Center (ECDC) Kaleidoscope! You are giving your child the best start possible by choosing our quality program.

We are an art-focused, early education center with two schools located in Brooklyn, New York. Our school was created for young children to increase their exposure to the arts, nurture their creative expression and build a strong foundation for school readiness and life-long learning.

Our philosophy is “learning through play,” which we believe is essential in child development.

Early Childhood Development Center Kaleidoscope’s curriculum is linked to the New York State Prekindergarten Foundation for the Common Core. The curriculum is designed to support child development across five domains of school readiness that affect school success: language development, cognition and general knowledge, approaches to learning, social and emotional development and physical and motor development.

Our instructional strategies advance all children’s learning and development. Depending on the classroom population, teachers design learning environments, arrange materials in a variety of learning centers and plan daily routines and transitions. There is a balance of indoor and outdoor, active and quiet, individual and group, child-initiated and adult-directed learning experiences.

The Early Childhood Development Center Kaleidoscope staff is made up of highly qualified individuals who have been hired based on their education, training and experience with young children. At a minimum, there are two adults present in each classroom. Group Head Teachers are certified by the New York State Department of Education and all full time staff members are certified in first aid and CPR.

Early Childhood Development Center Kaleidoscope is open year round and offers two schedule options for the 2022 – 2023 school year: 180 days for Pre-K and 230 days for Preschool students.
