Message from the Director

Dear Families,

Welcome to Early Childhood Development Center Kaleidoscope!

At Kaleidoscope, we believe that play is a child’s work. Through play, children develop trust,
friendships, and an understanding of the world around them. These experiences help children
develop the focus, memory, self-control, and problem-solving skills that form the foundation for
future academic success and a lifelong love of learning.

We foster a learning environment that allows ample time for exploration, the development of
individual interests, and peer collaboration. Every moment of play, whether building with blocks,
pretending in dramatic play, or solving a puzzle, is an opportunity to strengthen children’s
thinking skills, their ability to work with others, and their confidence to try again when things
don’t go as planned. Our teachers thoughtfully design experiences, guide children’s questions,
and extend their discoveries so that learning is rich, meaningful, and connected to the world
around them.

We believe that children learn best when:

  • They feel safe and secure

  • They form meaningful relationships with peers and adults

  • They develop self-regulation and resilience

  • They experience joy and success in their efforts

  • They build strong intellectual, social, emotional, and physical skills

At Kaleidoscope, families are true partners in the learning journey. We extend learning from
school to home and also welcome families’ traditions, skills, and interests into our classrooms.
Whether through storytelling, cooking, music, or other talents, your contributions enrich our
community and provide children with opportunities to see how learning connects across home
and school.

Together, we create a joyful, nurturing, and research-informed environment where children’s
natural curiosity is honored and their potential is cultivated. These early experiences provide
children with a strong foundation that enables them to thrive in preschool, kindergarten, and
beyond.

Thank you for allowing us to walk alongside you in your child’s earliest years. We are looking

forward to an exciting year of growth and discovery.

Warm regards,
Oksana Grebenyuk
